The Manor at Howfield was created in 1182, and a small part of the building where the restaurant is situated is thought to date back to the around 1350. It has been a family home for centuries, and has only relatively recently become a hotel. Its charm and lack of pretension, friendliness and a setting within beautiful grounds on the edge of country will enchant and delight you. Seasonal menus based on fresh local produce are imaginative and tempting, and with a great wine list too, you may find you need to stay the night in one of Howfield's cosy and comfortable bedrooms!
