Number 40 was built by Joseph Pitt in 1840ís and the house retains most of its original features. Number 40 is a short walk from Pittville Park (Pump Rooms) and Cheltenham racecourse and is in easy reach of the Cotswolds countryside.

With its award-winning gardens, impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants, and itís festivals of horse racing, music, science and literature, Cheltenham has a cosmopolitan ambience.

Cheltenham is also a great base for exploring picturesque villages of Winchcombe, Broadway, Burford and Bourton on Water.

In addition, Bath, Oxford, Bristol and Stratford-upon-Avon are all easy day trips.
