The Victorian Town House opened in February 2008 and was awarded 4 stars and a Silver Award by Visit Britain. In 2009 it was awarded 4 stars and a Gold Award. It has been stylishly renovated with all three rooms individually designed in contemporary or traditional styles.
The Town House is ideally situated for a variety of people - parents of Durham University students; tourists to the cathedral, castle and Beamish Museum. Newcastle and the Northumbria Coast are also within easy reach. The Bed and Breakfast is situated in the city but you can expect a peaceful stay, even though the train station and the city centre are only a five minute walk away. There is limited off-street parking but guests are normally able to park on-street within 25 metres of the house.
