Poppy Cottage Guest House is an idyllic 16th century traditional 'Dales' Longhouse, offering bed and breakfast accommodation in the lovely village of Carleton-in-Craven, just 2 miles and within comfortable walking distance of the Historic market town of Skipton. Poppy Cottage Guest House is an ideal place for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the town yet still have all the amenities close to hand. With a lovely public footpath route into Skipton crossing the River Aire and with regular buses to and from the town, we believe this is an ideal base for visitors who want to explore Skipton and the Dales.
We have 3 individually designed guest bedrooms, recently refurbed in 2009, fully en-suite and each with their own flat screen TV/DVD, tea and coffee making facilities, towels bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. Each room has wonderful views of the hills and countryside.
Guests will enjoy the privacy and comfort of the cottage, which has its own entrance, stairs, lounge and dining room, yet benefit from the daily service, from ourselves, Steve and Sally, serving you a hearty Yorkshire breakfast using our own fresh eggs and 'flavoursome' sausage and bacon, in what was the original farm kitchen - "We have recently received our 'Enjoy England Breakfast Award' in recognition of this." Guests also have the full use of a private south facing decked garden and private parking facilities. Awarded 'Excellent' by 46 Tripadvisor guests - Dec 2010.
