We have a very beautiful old house here. Full of character and totally unique to Windermere as it only came with the railway. It was originally known as Mylne Garth Boarding School for young gentlemen. It had 20 here in 1881. Later it became Dr. Dobsons surgery and pharmacy.
For the last 40 years I have done bed and breakfast.Bedrooms have colour t.v. central heating. double glazing, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries in bathrooms.
Breakfast here is second to none with local fare including the famous cumberland sausage and damson jam. Vegetarians are welcome and special diets are served.
We have maps and information to help you plan your days out. The choice of transport alone is great from walking and cycling to sailing, ballooning or off road driving and horse riding. Organised tours are also available with knowledgeable guides to keep you well informed on all the area has to offer.
We are a non smoking establishment.
