Holme Lea Guest House is a traditional stone built Bed & Breakfast set in the heart of Ambleside and is ideally located for a break in the Lake District. We offer a high standard of accommodation which is reflected in our newly acquired 3 star rating from the English Tourist Board. Having only taken on the Business in 2006, we are delighted to have received this award.
We are close to all local Amenities, Shops, Restaurants and Pubs, yet situated off the main through road. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and landscapes and only a short stroll from Waterhead and the shores of Lake Windermere, our family run House offers a great base. Attractions including the Bridge House, Galava Gate Roman Ruins, and Stock Ghyll Waterfalls are also within walking distance. We are close to the Putting Green and Tennis Courts, and only a stones throw from the Recreation Park.
We have Double, Family, Twin and Single rooms with newly fitted en suite facilities. Our bedrooms all have Tea & Coffee making facilities, Flat screen TV, and Hairdryer, and offer a high level of comfort. We are a Non Smoking House.
There is On Street Parking available which is unlimited overnight. Hourly Disc Parking operates during the Day, and there are ample Public Car Parks nearby.
Ambleside is at the centre of the Lake District National Park. Practically everywhere within the Park can be reached within one hour's drive.
