The Finches is a large recently renovated and refurbished Victorian home and we will do what we can to give you an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The newly decorated rooms are large and airy and all the en suite furniture is brand new. The beds are either 3ft twins or zipped together to make a 6ft wide super king. We are well situated for all amenities, restaurants, pubs and shops. Lovely country walks on the downs and cliff top with great views are 10 minutes away. The Blue Flag beach and seafront is a 15 minute walk and The Old Village with its thatched tea rooms. shops and pubs just down the road.
Breakfast is served in the sunny dining room/lounge between 7.30 and 9.30 (at a time to suit you) and comprises fresh coffee or choice of teas, tea fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, toast, and a full English breakfast menu. A continental breakfast can be provided if you prefer. We will do our best to cater for any dietary needs given prior notice.
The Island offers golf, sailing and water sports, horse riding, outdoor festivals and concerts and wonderful walks across the downs and coastal paths.' Must visit' places include the famous yachting centre of Cowes, Osborne House [Queen Victoria's home], Ventnor Botanic Gardens, Carisbrooke Castle (where Charles lst tried to escape]and the Needles.
Guest arrival is after 3pm and departure before 11 am. However, to enjoy the rest of your departure day you are welcome to leave your luggage in our dining room until the evening.
