Bed and Breakfast - Big Sky B&B, Whitby, Yorkshire

Situated at the bottom of Chubb Hill on the edge of the town centre, Big Sky Bed & Breakfast is a late Victorian six bedroom town house built in 1896 by local craftsmen. Retaining all of it's original features the house is a beautiful example of how, with a little thought and a lot of care and attention, a building from the 18th century can be sympathetically brought into the 21st.

Tastefully decorated throughout, with colour and style befitting its age and stature I'm sure you will agree when you arrive that Big Sky is no ordinary B&B. Upon entering the light, high ceiling hallway you are greeted by Art Nouveaux stained glass (original four panel Victorian doors) and finely detailed door-surrounds which were so modern at the time that they are now classed as 'Edwardian'. The lovingly preserved mahogany banister is beautiful in its simplicity, as befits the Arts and Crafts movement of the time, and the wide and rather grand staircase will take you up into the house itself and back into the past.

Located just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and beach, with private onsite parking for your convenience, plus secure garaged parking for motorbikes and bicycles. We are open all year round so you can enjoy historic Whitby and the surrounding countryside, whatever the season. Our rooms are appointed to the highest standards with TV/DVD player, fresh towels daily, complimentary toiletries and drinks facilities. All bedding is luxury goose down.
