Although Ambleside is close to the hustle and bustle of the centre of Looe, we are far enough from it to guarantee a quiet nights sleep.
As we are only a small B&B and we pride ourselves on the extra care we can show our guests, and with only 2 rooms to fill some couples love to effectively book the whole B&B to themselves for the period of their stay. Though we only have two en suite rooms, these are very flexible and can be singles, twin, double, king size, or small family.
Our breakfast menu uses local produce whenever we can, and is excellent.
We have a flexible approach to your stay, and can often fit around later or earlier arrivals and departures. We can also look after baggage before eventual departure from Looe.
Ambleside is only a short walk to Looe train station, where you can take a lovely trip down the Looe valley line. We are also only 40 minutes from The Eden Project, a place we have expert knowledge of. Very close to us also is Polperro, Fowey, Cawsand, Kingsand, Whitsand Bay, Mount Edgcombe, and Lanhydrock.
We welcome walkers and are only a couple of minutes from the coastal path. A good thing to do is take the coastal path to Polperro, have a meal, some refreshments or shop in Polperro. Then get the bus back to Looe (we have timetables to help you plan the day).
With a good local knowledge we can give guests tips on the best places to go, places we have had great pleasure in 'researching'.
