A newly renovated 17th Century Devon Farmhouse near Dartmoor and Okehampton, Little Widefield Farm is the perfect place to come for a break. We are 3.5 miles outside Okehampton, one of the major walking centres in the UK.
For cyclists, we are convenient to the Granite Way, Dartmoor and Millenium cycle routes and the The Two Castles Trail for walkers. For those with equine interests we are right next door to The Grange Equestrian Centre.
Outside, you can enjoy stunning views across the foothills of Dartmoor to Yes Tor, which is the highest Tor, and High Willhays, at 2,040ft.
We are a rural retreat, but also an excellent touring base, being within easy reach of the A30, the main arterial route through Devon to Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall's North Coast, The Eden Project, Rosemoor Gardens, Castle Drogo, Exeter, Plymouth and many more attractions are within an hour's drive. Closer to home are Lydford Gorge, Okehampton Castle, Finch Foundry and Winkleigh Cider Factory, and of course, the main attraction - the Moor itself.
There are a range of good local restaurants and traditional pubs serving food; the nearest is 1.5 miles away at Folly Gate.
With a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, Little Widefield Farm is the place to come and escape, wind down, and create some pleasurable memories. Whatever your needs, we will either leave you in peace or be available to help.
