Anchor Lodge is your ideal base to explore our beautiful island. Whether it's walking, cycling, swimming, sailing, golf, fishing or scuba diving, there's a wealth of activities to keep you busy. Alternatively, just relax and put your feet up in one of the many local bars and restaurants.
On the island there are a variety of activities and attractions for families and children, including Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill, the Isle of Wight Zoo, Flamingo Park Wildlife Encounter, the Owl and Monkey Haven, Carisbrooke Castle, LA Bowl, Paintballing and Treeclimbing to name just a few!
The island hosts many annual events from the Isle of Wight Festival 13th to 16th June, the Bestival 5th to 8th Sept and the walking festival 4th to 19th May. This includes, amongst many other walks, "Walk the Wight" where you can choose to walk from one end of the island to the other or just go halfway if you prefer! There is also the garlic festival on the weekend of 17th to 18th August, Cowes week from the 3rd to 10th August, Last night of the Proms at Osborne House on the 10th August and Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival 1st to 2nd June.
