Number 59 Bed and Breakfast is located in an elegant Edwardian family home in Okehampton and offers a great stopover location for travellers, cyclists and walkers. For those who are looking to stay around for a few days we are perfectly situated for exploring this stunning area of Devon from its dramatic Dartmoor landscapes to a wealth of pictuesque villages, country houses and castles. We are central to the stunning north and south coastlines of Devon, perfect for walkers, surfers and family visits to the beach.
The Town Centre of Okeharpton is just a few minutes walk from our door, with its array of small shops and cosy cafes, including the dramatic Okehampton Castle, Vctorian Arcade, Museum of Dartmoor Life and the beautiful Simmons Park with Riverside Walk. There are cafes, pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
Our rooms are simply decorated, light and airy with original working sash windows with secondary glazing. All rooms are centrally heated.
Our beds are supplied with quality bed linens. The main rooms are located to the rear of the house overlooking the garden and parkland beyond. They are very quiet. Both main rooms have full sized wash basins and share a separate WC and Wet room. The single room can only be let in conjunction with our main rooms and is ideal for an older child or extra party member.
Freshly cooked breakfasts are served around a large circular dining table in the breakfast room to the front of the house.
