Queen Annes Guest House has been established for 30 years, and many of our guests have become regular visitors, keen to return and sample our warm hospitality.
Situated in a quiet residential street just off Bootham, we are less than 10 minutes walk from the city centre. We place no restrictions on access to the guest house, and you are most welcome to return at any time of the day (and night!).
Whether you are looking for a short break to see the sights of our beautiful city, or a longer stay to sample the delights of the North Yorkshire countryside and beyond, Queen Annes provides the ideal base.
York has so much to offer - whether it is Theatre, Cinema, Museums/Art Galleries, shopping - everything from antiques to the latest fashion items, live music, good food, real ale pubs..... the list is endless. The city is steeped in history and much is to be gained by just wandering round the streets taking in the sights, or sitting at one of the many pavement cafes and indulging in a spot of "people watching".
York has been voted the European Tourism City of the Year 2008 - and was also crowned ‘The UK’s Best City’, at the prestigious annual Telegraph Travel Awards in November 2007.
