If you prefer quieter & less formal surroundings then The Chines Hotel may be just the place for you. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the woodland of Alum Chine. The sandy beaches of Alum Chine & Bournemouth Promenade are only a five minute stroll down a wooded path near the hotel.
Dorset is a beautiful county with seven miles of award winning clean beaches, excellent dining & shopping, picturesque villages, stunning coastlines.
Bournemouth beach has provisions for disabled visitors with free use of land trains, which run from nearby Alum Chine via Bournemouth to Boscombe, cliff lifts and no pier tolls. There are also beach wheelchairs for ease of access onto the beaches.
Available for hire are deck chairs, sun beds, windbreaks and parasols to make sure you enjoy the day in comfort. For the more adventurous among you Boscombe beach will soon see the introduction of the first artificial reef in Europe.
If you should tire of the beach not far away by car lies the New Forest, famous for the ponies who roam freely & deer & wildlife who dwell there. A lovely place to take a picnic. Pretty villages offering cream teas, quaint shops & bicycle hire.
You can take the ferry from nearby Sandbanks across to the sandy beaches of studland and further afield to the Purbecks: Swanage, Lulworth Cove & Corfe.
There are many tourist attractions in the area which are sure to make your holiday even more enjoyable.
