Assam House is situated on Stakesby Road, a charming suburban location on the Western side of town .It is about 5 minutes walk to the West Cliff and sea front. It is also within easy walking distance to the town centre. However, if you don't feel like walking, there is a local bus stop right outside the guest house.

Off street parking is available. Amenities like shops(Lidl,Spar),petrol station and cash machine are situated at the top of the road.

We are a strictly non-smoking establishment.

Each of our three rooms is decorated to a very high standard with Double glazing, central heating and all our rooms are conveniently situated on the first floor.

Your host at Assam House is Dave Heselton, Dave is from a long line of Whitby seafarers that have been Mariners, Master Mariners, Naval Officers, fishermen and lifeboat men.

Our wholesome breakfast menu includes
(1) A choice of fruit juices
and
(2) Choice of cereals / porridge /yoghurt
and
(3) Choice of either Full English Breakfast - Vegetarian Breakfast- Light English Breakfast - Kedgeree

Your Breakfast is accompanied by tea or coffee and toast and various jams / marmalade.
