Gothic House is a Grade II-listed building, built in 1820 (though its origins go back considerably further). The local legend is that the house was used by a rich business man as a hideaway for his mistress! The house has been fully refurbished and redecorated in a style sympathetic to its Regency origins.

Although in a quiet location the area is vibrant with a wide variety of restaurants as well as entertainment venues; the Playhouse Theatre is less than five minutes walk away.

For exploration beyond the city Gothic House is located on the route that leads towards the dramatic and beautiful North Norfolk coast - approximately 40 minutes drive away.
