Bed and Breakfast in rural location, 6 miles from the centre of Stanhope

Come and be spoilt at our Country Bed and Breakfast. Set in the heart of Weardale, we have fabulous views of this 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.

We have two rooms for guests; a double and a twin, and a cosy living room with a log stove. There is a bathroom for guest use only, which includes a shower cubicle, bidet and a nice big bath. Tea & coffee facilities in each room. We make our own bread and home baking and use eggs from our very spoilt hens; choose from our extensive menu for a sumptuous breakfast to set you up for a day in beautiful Weardale and the surrounding countryside. A hearty, homemade 'Country Supper' and packed lunches are available if ordered in advance.

There are lots of wonderful walks nearby, or it is a short drive to Stanhope (with its steam railway), Killhope mines or a short hop over the hill to the picturesque town of Middleton-in-Teesdale. A little further afield is the city of Durham, with its magnificent Cathedral.

Excellent cycling and walking area or to just explore by car. We are situated on the Wainwright 'Pennine Journey' long distance walk and we will happily pick up and transport walkers and luggage to adjacent stops on the walk; packed lunches provided on request. Our Summerhouse is a great place to relax in at the end of the day!

We charge a flat rate of £40.00 per person per night; there is no extra charge for single occupancy

Discount to £35.00 per night for stays of 3 nights or more.
