Bed and Breakfast Dunkeswell, 7 miles from the centre of Honiton

Situated on the Devon Somerset border, in the heart of the Blackdown Hills we offer quiet rural bed and breakfast accommodation as well as classes in a variety of traditional skills.

The Old Kennels is a flint barn, originally being part of the Stentwood Estate built by Squire Eccles in the 1890’s, now home to our sheep, cats, wild ducks, geese and breeding herd of Alpacas (who are kept solely for their fibre. Woodlands, wildlife and landscape abounds.

The wonderfully comfortable, converted loft above our studio offers a self contained two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, lounge, television and garden terrace with seating and far reaching views across the fields and valley.

We charge on a per person basis, so you can book for one to four people;

The bedrooms are;
Twin room; A cosy room with an en suite shower room and toilet, with views through its generous roof light high into the Filbert trees which are often alive with squirrel activity!

Double or Twin room: (can be made up as either) is slightly larger, has a private bathroom opposite the door, and magnificent views across the valley.

Both rooms are newly furnished to the highest standards.

Although we do not offer evening meals, there are a range of excellent cafes, bars, hostelry's and restaurants nearby.
