Bed and Breakfast on the outskirts of Weymouth

We overlook Smallmouth Bay and Portland Harbour. The sailing academy can be seen from the rooms, as can the fleet and World famous Chesil Beach (where mackerel, bass, cod can be fished for).

The Weymouth and Portland area provides some of the finest waters in Britain, perhaps even Europe, for water sports, sailing, diving, wind surfing, kite surfing and sea angling, It was selected as the venue for the Olympic sailing events 2012. For nature lovers, there are not one but two RSPB nature reserves and the butterfly reserve on Portland. For the less energetic there is a bus (no1) to Weymouth or Portland. Pay a visit to the Portland museum, the lighthouse and the Bill. There are frequent boat trips along the breathtaking Jurassic coastline, including some paddle steamer excursions or white water rides through Portland's roughest waters, 'the Race'.

Why not visit the beautifully restored Victorian Nothe Fort with its fantastic views of Weymouth and Portland, or the Tudor House, one of Weymouth's few remaining Tudor buildings. There are also the remains of the Jordan Hill Roman Temple overlooking Weymouth Bay. Weymouth's Sea Life Park, Or, for the younger there's always Sharky's indoor soft play centre, the skate park, as well as pirate-themed mini golf and Sand world. Or just sit on the beach and chill.
