Bed and Breakfast in rural location, 1 mile from the centre of Salisbury

The Poplars
Contact / Location

The Poplars is a beautiful 400 year old Granary with lots of character. It has previously been a granary, a broom and rope factory and a girls school. In recent years it has been a family home for around 90 years.

It is in a rural and peaceful location, very close to the river Bourne.

It is a great place for country walks to the neighbouring village of Winterbourne. You can also walk further onto Figsbury Rings which is stoneage or the other direction to Old Sarum which was the original site for the first Cathedral approximately 850 years old.

There are a wide variety of restaurants and places to eat in Salisbury or you can visit our local pub The Black Horse which is a short stroll from the house. The food is very good, ideal for evening meals and meeting the friendly locals!

The Poplars is situated approximately one mile from the medieval city of Salisbury. There you can visit the magnificent Cathedral with the highest spire in England or just do some shopping. Days to visit Salisbury market are Tuesday and Saturday. Other places to visit are Stonehenge, Wilton House and Beauleigh. We are also very close to the new forest.
