Bed and Breakfast in rural location, 16 miles from the centre of Hereford

Cottage Farm is just 4 miles from Hay on Wye the town of books and festival of literature. A myriad of walks can be started from the garden gate in all directions and for those doing the Wye Valley walk we will transport you luggage.

We are also a great base for bird watching, with Red Kites and buzzards being among our regular visitors along with the woodpeckers, owls, Bullfinches and other more common garden birds.

Kington Small breeds farm is 20 minutes away with a wonderful array of small animals and the best collection of Owls from all around the world.

The Elan Valley Dams are worth a visit just above Rhaydar, they supply water to Birmingham through 71 miles of free falling pipe work. Closer to Home is Llantony Abbey where star gazing is light pollution free, Cottage Farm is almost as good.

To Hereford 18 miles with the famous Mappa Mundi; Magna Carta and largest chained library in England. Ross and Symonds Yat give great access to the River Wye for canoeing and boats. Numerous market towns scattered around this most rural county of England offers some of the best food and drink locally produced (also used within Cottage Farm) with Cider being among the best known and a tour of Weston's cider is not to be missed.

With our uv panels and conservation area; orchard and natural pond our own chickens, Toulouse geese and miniature horses staying with us gives you a small holding holiday with memories waiting to be made.
